Is divorce-proofing for you?
The divorce-proofing campaign is designed for marriages at any stage of life. In fact, we’ve heard from singles and widows that at first they were hesitant about the series, but they ended up enjoying it as much or more than those married. Why? Because the principles of divorce-proofing are based from God’s Word and give practical steps for building healthy relationships. The principles can be utilized for future relationships or in any relationship as principles like forgiveness, servant hood, and guarding your heart are the building blocks for the campaign. It also is great for children to hear and learn because it’s never too early to teach these important principles. The materials are non-denominational, for rural or urban settings, for churches large and small, and are easy to use.
Who is the campaign for?
The campaign is created to equip the church and/or small group hosts with practical books, small groups studies, and media resources. The campaign is directed toward five primary audiences:
- Those anticipating marriage – to equip them to build a strong foundation prior to marriage.
- Those experiencing pain in their marriage - to give them the hope that God can meet them in these times with His grace and hope.
- Those in strong marriages - to affirm God’s work in them and to encourage them to reach out to other families, as well as their own children and grandchildren.
- Those that have experienced divorce - to coach them with compassion as they raise their children and anticipate how God might work in the future with possible reconciliation or future marriage.
- Those who desire to teach and impact others – to give them the tools for a healthy marriage for future relationships or to encourage those they love.
